Breeze Airways Expands with New Airline Partnerships

Breeze Airways, the new U.S. airline founded by JetBlue founder and former CEO David Neeleman, is expanding with two new airline partnerships. The airline recently announced that Rhode Island’s T.F. Green International Airport will become the base of operations for its eight planes, and Breeze Airways is hiring 250 employees to support them. The airline is planning to operate over 40 weekly departures to more than a dozen destinations by May and aims to have service to 20 or more different destinations by 2027.

Breeze Airways Partners with West Virginia International Yeager Airport

The second airline partnership is with West Virginia International Yeager Airport. Breeze Airways will provide non-stop flights to Orlando, Florida year-round and summer seasonal service to Charleston, South Carolina from May 31, 2023. The partnership aims to add at least three more destinations over the next two years.

The new airline partnership fills the gap left by Spirit Airlines’ decision to stop services at Yeager Airport. Direct flights to major travel destinations like New York City and the West Coast are slated to be added to Breeze’s service at CRW over the next couple of years.

Partnership Will Connect West Virginia with at Least Five Cities

This exciting partnership between Breeze Airways and West Virginia International Yeager Airport will expand direct air connectivity for passengers traveling through the state capital of Charleston. By doubling air connectivity in the state capital, residents will have more options when it comes to traveling.

Moreover, this historic collaboration represents years of decline in available destinations from smaller airports around the country. A primary factor that has led to difficulty maintaining these services has been due to funding shortcomings and their inability to compete with larger airports.

The partnership between Breeze Airways and Yeager Airport represents an investment in much-needed transportation infrastructure towards connecting smaller airports with multiple destinations. Therefore, air service remains as crucial infrastructure that has not been invested enough in the past and this partnership is expected to continue to connect West Virginia to the rest of the world.

Breeze Airways Offers Affordable Flights

Breeze Airways aims to provide affordable and accessible flight options for all passengers. The airline’s new three-class system offers travelers the option of “Nice,” “Nicer,” or “Nicest” price levels, which includes a first-class seat on the airline’s Airbus A220 aircraft.

With 145 non-stop routes between 36 cities in 22 states, Breeze Airways has ordered 80 brand new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with options for 40 more. This expansion opportunity is beneficial for everyone involved, offering affordable flights to Almost Heaven West Virginia so that millions of new travelers will have a more accessible way to travel.

Economic Benefits of the New Airline Partnership

The new airline partnership also promises to bring huge economic benefits to Rhode Island’s small business community. With its commitment to bringing employment opportunities through hiring crews, maintenance workers, and other employees from the state, the airline is poised not only to create jobs but give back to local businesses located around each airport.

Additionally, Breeze Airways has already been making waves by significantly increasing tourism growth in West Virginia. The airline’s unique partnerships with small airports expand on tourism marketing plans created by industry professionals alongside state government officials.

Conclusion

In summary, this new partnership between Breeze Airways and both Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport and West Virginia International Yeager Airport is set to bring about significant change in American air-travel offerings. With an expanded network of destinations, affordable fare prices with three-level seating options and its commitment towards building cooperation and supporting economic activity around regional airports, Breeze Airways is poised for even further growth in the coming years.
