Ricky Ponting, the coach of DC, stated that Khaleel’s injury was a big blow to their already-struggling team but also mentioned that they don’t point fingers at individual players for defeats. Ponting believes his team is ready to make a strong comeback from their losses and will be looking to achieve their first victory in IPL 2023 against MI. Making Axar Patel bat at No.4 or No.5 position can provide stability in the middle overs while playing the role of aggressor.
MI’s Spin Attack v/s Jofra Archer
As far as MI is concerned, they too have encountered a poor start to their campaign, with two back-to-back losses. However, it would be interesting to see whether Jofra Archer takes part in this crucial match against DC, given his previous record against them. The Mumbai side possesses an inexperienced spin attack that could prove challenging for Delhi, especially if the conditions prove to be conducive to spin bowling.
