Metal fans, get ready for a treat! Dethklok, the pseudocartoon metal band from Adult Swim’s animated series Metalocalypse, is returning to the music scene with a bang! It has announced a co-headlining tour across North America with Japanese kawaii-metal greats Babymetal. After an 11-year hiatus, Dethklok is all set to hit the road with Babymetal for their first actual tour. The “Babyklok Tour” kicks off on August 30th in Houston and travels throughout the US and Canada before concluding in Los Angeles on October 11th.
Dethklok is all set to unleash its distinctive brand of riffs and shredding guitar solos on its live audience after a long hiatus. The band’s return has been eagerly anticipated by its fans, who can’t wait to experience Dethklok’s unique sound live. With its new album, Deathalbum IV, set to release later in the year, the band promises to deliver nothing less than an unforgettable musical experience.
Babymetal, the Japanese kawaii-metal trio sensation that has taken the world by storm, will co-headline the tour alongside Dethklok. The trio was scheduled to tour North America last year but had to cancel it due to COVID-19 restrictions. This time around, they are back with a bang and with newly-appointed third member Momometal in tow. Fans can expect nothing less than explosive energy onstage as Babymetal brings its unique blend of J-pop and metal to the stage.
The “Babyklok Tour” will see both Dethklok and Babymetal share the stage with guitarist Jason Richardson, who will provide support for the tour. Known for his virtuoso guitar skills, Jason will undoubtedly add a new dimension to the tour, making it a memorable experience for metal lovers everywhere.
The “Babyklok Tour” will take off on August 30th in Houston and travel throughout the US and Canada before concluding in Los Angeles on October 11th. The tour includes appearances at several festivals, including Blue Ridge Rock Festival, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock. General tickets go on sale on Friday, April 14th at 10 a.m. local time.
