Gwyneth Paltrow’s Ski Collision Trial: Evidence Revealed

Gwyneth Paltrow’s ski collision trial in Utah has been ongoing for eight days, with both sides presenting their versions of what happened on that fateful day in 2016. Terry Sanderson is suing Paltrow for $300,000 in damages, claiming that she crashed into him on the slopes of Deer Valley Resort and left him injured and stranded. The defence denies the allegations and alleges that Sanderson is extorting Paltrow for her wealth and fame. In this news article, we’ll take a closer look at the evidence presented in the court and how it unfolds.

Evidence Uncovered

On Tuesday, lawyers for Gwyneth Paltrow claimed that Terry Sanderson had GoPro footage of the collision. However, they argued that he deleted it as it would prove his claims wrong. Michael Fletcher, a tech investigator, who was hired to look into this matter, uncovered messages exchanged between Sanderson and other skiers on the day of the crash.

The messages revealed that there were early signs of Sanderson’s brain injury and the impact it had on his personality, which is at the center of his $300k compensation demands. Eyewitness Craig Ramon’s messages echoed his testimony in court that Ms Paltrow was at fault. However, another post by Ramon contradicts his previous statement and shows he was familiar with Ms Paltrow’s celebrity status.

Sanderson’s daughter believed that GoPro footage existed but had not seen it herself. Attorneys for Sanderson plan to call Paltrow to testify on Friday or earlier this week. Testimony from numerous medical professionals and Paltrow’s children, Moses and Apple, is also expected.

Witness Testimony

During the trial proceeding Moses who didn’t see the actual collision but heard his mom yelling claims he never called for his mom’s attention while skiing, attempting to reject previously recorded statement made by the other side. Meanwhile, Apple was told by her mother about the collision after reuniting at the bottom of the mountain, adding that Paltrow and her family were at Deer Valley Resort to have a mixer with her then-boyfriend, now-husband Brad Falchuk.

Ramon testified that Paltrow was not paying attention and crashed into Sanderson. Radiologist Dr. Wendell Gibby testified earlier this week and stated that brain images suggested it’s unlikely Sanderson crashed into Paltrow and that his head trauma was likely caused by a skier crashing into him.

Closing Arguments

The trial’s closing arguments will be made on Thursday morning, with the jury beginning deliberations following these arguments. It is unclear when a verdict will be reached.

Paltrow has apologized for her “bad language” during the collision but denies the allegations made against her by Sanderson. In response, she filed a countersuit asking for symbolic damages in the amount of $1 and to have her legal expenses covered if she wins.

In conclusion, the Gwyneth Paltrow ski collision trial has been ongoing with both sides presenting their own versions of what happened on the day of the incident. Evidence uncovered during the trial points towards Sanderson’s brain injury and how it affected his interaction with other skiers on that day. Witness testimony from Moses and Apple sheds light on what they know about the crash since they were there. The case’s outcome is still uncertain, but we hope that justice is served fairly for both parties involved.
