Dancing With the Stars is getting a new co-host. Julianne Hough will replace Tyra Banks in the upcoming season of the show, and many are excited to see her return to the role. The former America’s Got Talent judge thinks that Hough is a perfect fit for co-hosting duties, given her personality and expertise as a professional dancer.
Hough’s return to the judges’ table will be alongside Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough. Derek is not only Julianne’s brother but also a multichampion who is now a judge on the show.
Banks left Dancing With the Stars to focus on her businesses, including SMiZE and Dream ice cream company. It was a mutual decision for Banks to leave and for Hough to replace her. Derek thinks that his sister’s return to DWTS is natural and perfect.
Before accepting the co-hosting role on Dancing With the Stars, Julianne consulted with her brother. Derek was also excited to see his sister’s chemistry with Alfonso Ribiero on the show. He believes that Hough’s personality and expertise make her a perfect choice for cohost.
Cast members Kwame Appiah and Micah Lussier recently spoke out against hate messages directed towards them after their successful appearance on Love is Blind season 4. Some viewers addressed their concerns over Kwame and Micah’s conversations, which stated that it was too intimate for exes, especially when their fiancés were standing nearby.
Kwame acknowledged that opinions are warranted, but there is a level that should not be breached to deepened levels of hate, racism, or bigotry. He asked social media users to “cut that out” and called the messages inhumane. Jackie Bonds showed her support for Kwame and called racism disgusting.
Micah addressed the hate she’s received and hoped that commenters will think to remove the cruelty and malice in their hearts before they speak. She didn’t ever hope for a reconciliation with Kwame but expressed regret for causing anyone else pain or causing their relationship issues. Kwame’s fiancée Chelsea said there’s no bad blood between her and Micah, and it was a part of their journey.
Jeremy Renner recently spoke publicly for the first time about the snowcat accident that almost took his life. A promo for a sitdown interview between Diane Sawyer and Renner was released by ABC News. During the interview, Renner talked about his will to survive and his determination to live.
Renner was driving his nephew’s vehicle out of the snow when he was crushed by a snowcat near his home on New Year’s Day. He suffered multiple injuries, including broken ribs, knee, ankle, leg, tibia, shoulder, and collapsed lung. Renner has been keeping fans updated on his recovery status, including walking on an assisted treadmill.
In addition to Renner’s sitdown interview, his nephew Alexander Fries also sat down with Sawyer for an emotional interview. Both Renner and Fries broke down in tears during the interview. Despite the traumatic experience of being crushed by a snowcat, Renner will be conducting in-person appearances to promote his upcoming Disney+ series, Rennervations. He will start with the show’s premiere in Los Angeles on April 11.
