The women’s six-woman tag team match on Night 1 of WrestleMania 39 saw Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus, and Lita defeat Damage CTRL in an incredible showdown. Lynch pinned Bayley after countering her Bayleyto-Belly attempt with a Manhandle Slam.

Lynch had been involved in a rivalry with Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai for several months, and Lita and Stratus’ return provided her with the necessary backup.

Lynch and Bayley’s steel cage match was postponed due to Damage CTRL attacking Lynch, but Lita’s surprise return allowed her to win the match when it finally happened. The match marked the first major ‘Mania match for both Sky and Kai and Bayley’s first match at the event in front of fans since 2019. This was Stratus’ first ‘Mania match since WrestleMania 27 and Lita’s first since WrestleMania 18.
