Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has been using regular early-morning gym sessions to cope with the stress and pressure that comes with managing in the Premier League.
According to a recent report, the 43-year-old finds it hard to switch off from the job given its all-consuming nature. However, he has identified going to the gym as a method of relaxing and clearing his headspace.
The sessions take place at the club’s training base before training, with the club’s head of performance Dan Hodges guiding him through them. The fitness and exercise not only help Howe to unwind but also put him in a positive frame of mind, ready to attack his work and tackle any challenges that come his way.
Ahead of this weekend’s crucial game against Manchester United, Howe has reviewed their recent games and worked tirelessly with his team to prepare for their upcoming match. Despite losing out to them in the Carabao Cup final, Howe has insisted that the game is not about revenge but rather cementing their place in the top four.
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has expressed his desire to add a Casemiro-like player to his team this summer. Talking about the Real Madrid midfielder, Howe expressed his admiration for his experience, winning mentality and ability to dictate play from a defensive position. However, bringing in a player like Casemiro could be difficult due to financial fair play restrictions and high price tags.
Since being acquired by a Saudi Arabian consortium last year, Newcastle United has experienced relative success under Eddie Howe’s leadership. Key signings such as Alexander Isak, Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier have provided the club with the foundation to compete for European places.
Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, has also acknowledged the club’s potential, stating that it has “no ceiling”. Despite spending around £250 million on players so far, Howe insists that the team’s success is not solely based on money alone. Instead, he credits their achievements thus far to teamwork, unity and a well-thought-out plan.
In conclusion, Newcastle United looks set to make waves in the Premier League in the coming months under Eddie Howe’s guidance. With a focused approach to fitness, preparation and squad improvements, it certainly seems as though they are heading in the right direction.
