Baltimore anticipates busy weekend as fans gear up for Orioles’ home opener and Springsteen concert

As fans get ready for the Orioles’ home opener on Friday, many are keeping a close eye on the weather forecast. According to meteorologists, it is going to be cloudy and cool for the game, with temperatures in the low 60s. As the game progresses, it may become a bit breezy.

Weather forecast for upcoming days

The colder conditions will continue through Saturday with temperatures in the mid-50s and mostly cloudy skies. However, on Easter Sunday, the sun is expected to return and start a warming trend. Temperatures will gradually warm up next week with Monday seeing temperatures in the low to mid-60s. Tuesday will bring in a few high clouds with 71 degrees temperature. Wednesday will have high clouds with a temperature of 77 degrees. The warming trend will continue until next Thursday with temperatures climbing up to the 80s by then.

Upcoming weekend events in Baltimore

Apart from baseball, there are plenty of other events happening throughout Baltimore this coming weekend. Bruce Springsteen’s concert at CFG Bank Arena will mark the venue’s first concert since its $250 million renovation. Fans can also participate in Easter egg hunts happening at various locations such as Maryland Zoo, Parks and People Foundation, and Federal Hill Park. Other events include a fundraiser concert for the Baltimore Rhythm Festival, a Good Friday concert at Lyric Baltimore, a “Saved by the 90s” show at Rams Head Live, and a Vintage & Makers Market at Ministry of Brewing.

Busy Friday in Baltimore with Bruce Springsteen concert and Orioles’ home opening game

On Friday, more than 100,000 people are expected to attend both the Bruce Springsteen concert and the Orioles’ home opener in Baltimore. This has led to concerns about traffic bottlenecks and parking concerns in the crowded downtown area. However, Baltimore boosters see this as an indication of a much-needed rebirth for the city.

The Baltimore Police Department has increased its presence in anticipation of the crowds, and some streets will be closed off starting at 1 p.m. Despite the potential for overlap between these two events, more than 60,000 people are expected to visit downtown Baltimore on Friday.

The Orioles’ game was postponed by one day due to thunderstorms on Thursday night, with the first pitch now scheduled for 3:05 p.m. on Friday. The recently renovated CFG Bank Arena, with a capacity of 14,000, is sold out.

According to Frank Remesch, CFG Bank Arena’s general manager, Baltimore’s downtown is on its way back up. The two marquee events happening simultaneously could help bring the city together.

As excited fans flock to Baltimore for a weekend full of entertainment and sports, local businesses and authorities are eagerly awaiting what could be a significant economic boost for the city.
