Los Angeles Clippers Secure Win in Opening Game Against Phoenix Suns

Los Angeles Clippers beat the Phoenix Suns 115-110 in their playoff series opener. Kawhi Leonard’s 38 points, along with Eric Gordon’s 19 points and Russell Westbrook’s last-second block and steal helped the Clippers earn a win.

Slow Start from Phoenix Gives Upper Hand to the Clippers

The Clippers took advantage of slow start from Phoenix, holding them to only 18 points in the first quarter. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker had solid performances, but they were unable to carry the Suns to victory. Paul George is still out for the entire first series due to a right knee injury.

Phoenix Makes Brief Comeback

Phoenix made a comeback in the third quarter with a 15-0 run, taking the lead briefly during the game. However, Leonard’s two critical three-pointers helped regain the lead for the Clippers and eventually secure their win.

Zubac’s Strong Performance

Ivica Zubac had an outstanding performance in the first half with ten points and eleven rebounds for the Clippers. G-Cam Payne was unavailable for Phoenix due to low back soreness.

The game was intense with multiple lead changes and timeouts, but ultimately the Clippers came out on top. With their upper hand in this series after a thrilling win in Game 1, they are hoping to continue their momentum as they face off against Phoenix on Tuesday night for Game 2 of this thrilling series.
